Amazon Basics Printer Paper Review: A Boring Bestseller That Just Works

Printer paper is about as commoditized as office supplies get, and this is one of the clearest cases where the store-brand option is genuinely indistinguishable from pricier alternatives in daily use.

What we liked

• Jam-free in both inkjet and laser printers across normal use, no more finicky than name-brand paper.
• 92 brightness rating looks crisp for standard documents and most home or office printing, not just draft-quality output.
• Reliably priced lower than brand-name reams without a noticeable quality gap.

What could be better

• Not the paper to reach for if you need something heavier for presentation-quality double-sided color printing.
• Ream wrapping is thinner than some brands, so stacked reams can shift in storage.

Should you buy it?

For everyday printing (documents, forms, homework) there's little reason to pay more for a name brand. This covers the basics exactly as promised.
